SMS/MMS is an ActiveX/COM component, to provide SMS- and MMS functionality.
It makes integration of SMS- and MMS easy for Windows developers.
The SDK features the following:
- Send/receive multimedia (MMS) SMS messages via a GSM/GPRS modem;
- Send/receive alphanumeric text SMS messages via a GSM/GPRS modem;
- Send/receive alphanumeric text SMS messages via an SMPP service center;
- Send/receive alphanumeric pager messages via an SNPP service center;
- Send/receive numeric pager messages via a Hayes compatible modem;
- Support for WAP Push and WAP Bookmarks;
- Support for WAP Push and WAP Bookmarks;
- Support for the following SMS formats: Unicode, MMS notifications, SMS Flash, Voicemail indications, Fax indications, E-mail indications
- Support for the following MMS formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, WBMP, TIF, WAV, MP3, MIDI, AC3, GP3, AVI, MPG, MP4, VCARD, VCALENDAR, JAR and more;
- Support for larger SMS messages (i.e. messages longer than 160 characters, also called 'multi-part');
- TAPI (Windows Telephony) support;
- Thread-safe;
- Tracing facilities;
Samples are included for many development platforms, including: Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Visual C++, Visual C# .NET, ASP, ASP .NET, Delphi and Borland C++ Builder.
