Introduction

The eDmod300 is a complete, ready-to-integrate and easy-to-use GSM/GPRS module that comes with a powerful TCP/IP stack, and all in a compact form factor that makes it suitable for inclusion in a large range of appliances. The eDmod300 is fully supported by the ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server software.

Hardware

The eDmod300 is a complete, ready-to-integrate and easy-to-use GSM/GPRS module that comes with a powerful TCP/IP stack, and all in a compact form factor that makes it suitable for inclusion in a large range of appliances. The eDmod300 is optimised to provide a reliable and price competitive solution for wireless M2M projects. Including all the software and hardware components needed to transfer information over GPRS, the eDmod300's integration process does not require a big investment and offers a short time-to-market option for connecting devices wirelessly. Based on successful field-proven GPRS modules, the eDmod300 embeds the award-winning eDevice TCP/IP stack, "packaging" eDevice's expertise in connecting and managing large groups of connected devices.

Software

ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server is an ActiveX component (i.e. an SDK), and provides SMS and MMS messaging functionality. With this Toolkit, you can send and receive SMS messages via: a GSM phone or modem, an SMPP compliant SMSC provider or HTTP compliant SMSC provider. It supports MMS, either using the MM1 (MMS over GPRS), MM4 (MMS over SMTP) or MM7 (MMS over SOAP/HTML). Samples are provided for Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET (CSharp), Visual Basic, Visual C++ (Visual Studio VC++), ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Delphi and VBScript.
