Introduction

The MultiTech MultiModem GPRS wireless modem offers standards-based multi-band GSM/GPRS Class 10 performance.

Hardware

The MultiModem® GPRS wireless modem offers standards-based multi-band GSM/GPRS Class 10 performance. This ready-to-deploy, standalone modem provides wireless data communication and integrates seamlessly with virtually any application. It is available with a broad range of interface options including RS-232, USB, Bluetooth® and Ethernet as well as GPS capabilities to cover all your application needs.

There are several different MultiTech MultiModem GPRS models:

(*) RS-232 models:

  • MTCBA-G-F1 - 900/1800 MHz GPRS Modem
  • MTCBA-G-F2 - 850/1900 MHz GPRS Modem
  • MTCBA-G-GP-F1 - 900/1800 MHz GPRS Modem (w/GPS)
  • MTCBA-G-GP-F2 - 850/1900 MHz GPRS Modem (w/GPS)

Software

ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit is an ActiveX component (i.e. an SDK), and provides SMS and MMS messaging functionality. With this Toolkit, you can send and receive SMS messages via: a GSM phone or modem, an SMPP compliant SMSC provider or HTTP compliant SMSC provider. It supports MMS, either using the MM1 (MMS over GPRS), MM4 (MMS over SMTP) or MM7 (MMS over SOAP/HTML). Samples are provided for Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET (CSharp), Visual Basic, Visual C++ (Visual Studio VC++), ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Delphi and VBScript.
